Rega are a specialist hifi manufacturer based in Essex, UK and are renowned for developing and constructing some of the most highly regarded turntables (as well as cartridges and tonearms), electronics and loudspeakers available on the hifi market today. Rega were founded in 1973, and have honed their craft over many years of being a leading brand in every category they put a product to.

The Apollo-R CD player acts as an exemplification of Rega's commitment to designing and engineering a superior product, both in terms of built quality and sound reproduction. The original Rega Apollo CD player was launched in 2005, since then Rega engineers have worked vigorously and relentlessly to produce a product worthy of carrying on the legacy that Apollo set-out initially.

One significant improvement is across the analogue/digital and control elements of the CD player, tempered to match and cooperate with Rega's Brio-R amplifier perfectly. Apollo-R is the ultimate machine for getting the utmost best out of your digital sources for your quality Rega hifi system. The Apollo-R makes use of the quality Wolfson WM8742 DAC chip-set to decode and convert your digital/CD content into the analogue information that your amplifier needs to pass on to the loudspeakers.
