The Arcam AVR850 network AV receiver is Arcam's latest flagship AV receiver that focusses on excellence in both music and movie entertainment - this is unusual in this product category, as many competing AV receivers do not have the ability to perform exceptionally well on stereo music. Two channel excellence is the AVR850's unique feature, delivering true high-end audio performance from all of your music sources. Of course, an exceptional stereo performance also bodes very well in surround sound, and the AVR850 delivers a truly breathtaking performance with movies and sport/ concerts too.

The seven channels of cool running, class G power amplification can produce up to 120W per channel of high-end audio to drive practically any loudspeaker you could wish to partner, in the biggest domestic spaces in existence. Should you wish to add height channels and another subwoofer, 5 pre-outs are available to drive an external power multi-channel amplifier of your choice. Surround sound modes include the latest Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 plus DTS-HD. Seven HDMI in and three out cater for the largest of audio-visual installations, whilst the Dirac Live room correction feature removes unwanted room sound reflection effects giving you the sound as the original music or film producer intended.

Spotify Connect enabled, the networking features of the AVR850 allow you to stream music but also listen to radio stations from across the world via internet radio. Control of the receiver is accomplished via the well-known Musiclife control app, or RS232 serial interface - whichever is easier for your installer.

Who is Arcam?

Arcam is a well-established UK manufacturer of quality hifi components, based just outside of the world-famous University of Cambridge. The company began in 1976, founded by two music enthusiasts with a passion for electronics. The company was initially named Amplification & Recording Cambridge, before shorting to A&R Cambridge, and eventually to the snappier and more impacting name that we know today; 'ARCAM'.
