Chord Company Clearway DIN Interconnect

To further the integrity of the signal transfer, the Clearway Analogue is fitted with Chord's VEE 3 RCA plugs which include PTFE insulation between signal/return contacts. VEE 3 is a lightweight plug with direct silver plating. The Chord Clearway Analogue is also available in the silver-plated DIN and balanced XLR configurations.

Just like the Clearway RCA, the Clearway DIN cables use the same ARAY conductor configuration to produce DIN to DIN and DIN to RCA cables that have the capability of carrying a musical signal with the same degree of musical coherence and detail that RCA version carries. Whether you have a newly dated product or an old pre and power amplifier, the DIN terminated clearway cables will definitely let you hear more performance that all of these components are capable of.

Not every cable works with DIN connectors so one of the key areas during the design of the Clearway Analogue cable was that Chord could use it to produce a high performance, cost effective DIN to DIN and DIN to RCA cable.

Equipment fitted with DIN sockets tends to be either Naim Audio or older Quad models, Chord have huge experience in building both and the Clearway Analogue DIN cables can be supplied with either 4 pin or 5 pin silver-plated DIN plugs in push-fit metal, plastic (Quad) or Preh locking ring (Naim Audio) variants.

Standard length of Clearway DIN cables is 1m.  Many years ago Chord established that shorter length cables have a detrimental effect on Naim Audio amplifiers. Longer custom lengths are available.
