DALI Menuet SE Bookshelf Loudspeakers

The Menuet SE (Special Edition) is a newly revised version of the popular DALI Menuet, designed as a tribute to high-performance, compact speakers.

The new Menuet SE features a stunning new finish, Wild Walnut, a hand-selected veneer of natural walnut wood, carefully coated in a high-gloss lacquer. Every pair of Menuet SE speakers will be completely unique from one another, with the two speakers in a pair carefully matched.

Menuet SE features an improved 4.5-inch wood fibre driver, with added fibreglass to the 'voice coil former' to reduce any energy loss in the driver, further reducing distortion. The SE also features a substantially updated & improved crossover, with carefully selected 'Mundorf TM' capacitors and a new board material with much higher electrical insulation, further reducing electrical interference.

Menuet SE also features the same high-quality gold-plated speaker terminals found on DALI's flagship Epicon range of speakers for a no-compromise connection between amplifier, cable and speaker.

DALI's Menuet SE is designed to be positioned on a bookshelf or mounted on a wall for optimum performance. The two threaded inserts found on the rear of the cabinet connect to DALI's custom-built wall bracket, ensuring a safe and stable platform for the speakers. This bracket is designed to ensure an optimal distance between the rear of the speaker and your wall to further enhance the bass performance of the Menuet SE. The speaker's compact, sleek design when paired with the accompanying wall bracket, makes the Menuet SE incredibly easy to place in any room of the house. The Menuet SE also works exceptionally well as a surround speaker when paired with DALI's Rubicon Vokal centre speaker and any Rubicon Front Left & Right speaker (We love the Rubicon 6's).

The Dali Menuet Special edition is a beautifully built, incredibly capable, compact speaker. The assumption is because of its small size that the sound it produces is also "small" but this couldn't be further from the truth. Thanks to its 4.5" woofer and a 28mm/1.1" soft dome tweeter the sound it produces is dynamic, with crisp, tight highs, open mid-range and clean, solid bass. The speak partners brilliantly with a great number of amplifiers and we have demoed them extensively. Two of my favourite combos have been the Naim Uniti Atom & the Roksan Attessa streaming amplifier. Both of these one-box solutions offer a variety of streaming options with high-quality amplification but sound very different. The Naim makes the most of the crisp highs and open Mid-range, while the Attessa is a little more energetic in its performance. It's really a personal opinion as to which is best. If you would like to have a listen to these on the above or any other amplifier and system we offer, please give us a call or email in the shop.
