IsoTek Evo3 Initium Mains Cable
When you consider that the audio signal that powers your loudspeakers is derived from your mains power supply, you begin to see why it is so important to have a pure, noise-free source of AC mains current to feed your hifi or home cinema system. Since 2001 Isotek has dedicated its research towards mains conditioning products to maximise audio and video performance in the home. Customers whose homes are in built-up areas or close to industrial areas may benefit from an Isotek most of all, as these mains currents often contain spikes, noise and distortion which can seriously take the edge off your systems sound quality.
Isotek has also developed screened mains power cables in both IEC and figure of 8 connection formats so that the clean power taken from the output of your Isotek power conditioner remains clean on it's the way to your system.
The EVO3 Initium is the latest entry-level quality mains lead designed and engineered by IsoTek to offer a high-quality performance while sitting at a comfortably accessible price-point. The conductors of the Initium are assembled in a parallel construction with a slight rotational twist. Having the conductors arranged in this configuration allows for the drastic drastic reduction of RFI and EMI interference.
IsoTek Evo3 Initium Mains Cable Construction
A) Conductors: 99.9999% OFC conductors offer an exceptional level of purity with enhanced conductivity. They are less likely to fracture or degrade over time.
B) Dielectric: PE dielectric (insulation) is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. PE possesses a very high degree of stress crack resistance and a low coefficient of friction making it an exceptional dielectric. PE is a good choice for safety in both temperature and electrical insulation.
C) Filler: Cotton filler has been used to give the cable internal strength and reduce microphony. Cotton also possesses excellent dielectric properties, the best of a solid material.
D) Wrap: A paper wrap is used to secure the construction prior to the application of a flexible PVC jacket. The addition of the paper and cotton form a buffer with the PVC so as to maintain exceptional dielectric properties.
E) Jacket: PVC is used as the outer jacket to give a high degree of flexibility and mechanical strength.
