KEF R800ds Dipole Loudspeaker

KEF's R series features many of the prestigious speaker company's latest and most impressive innovation in premium high fidelity audio and home theatre loudspeaker technology. The R series takes authentic audiophile quality standards and brings them to a much more affordable price range. The range utilises KEF's latest Uni-Q driver array, combined with newly developed bass drivers and enhanced components throughout. This results in a wide and vast stereo image, complete with flawless accuracy that many reference level speakers from lesser brands are unable to achieve.

With the addition of KEF's R800ds dipole loudspeaker, an existing R-series home cinema surround sound system is able to deliver an added dimension of sonic detail, allowing an even more immersive experience. Two 5 inch Uni-Q driver arrays are located on each speaker, designed to play out of phase from each other. This means that ambient 3-dimensional sound effects are entirely diffused throughout the entirety of the listening area in order to form the illusion of actually being within the film itself, regardless of whether the film is located within a deep and busy rainforest, a loud and dynamic concert, or a quiet and delicate cave system.
