The NR1604 doesn't just deliver spectacular audio however, it also offers remarkable video quality as well, due to its 4k pass-through abilities, GUI overlay, as well as 4K scaling, giving yu future proofing should you decide to change your TV for a 4K model in the future. The seven power amp channels allow you to either run a 7.1 surround speaker system, or a 5.1 speaker system plus a stereo loudspeaker pair in a different room.
This is not the only change present within the NR1604, it also includes more HDMI and component video in/out ports as well as offering multiroom/ multisource facilities without needing another amplifier. Also, despite being a slim-line receiver, it shows off the same networking facilities for audio streaming as its standard/larger-sized relatives. With the NR1604, you also have access to Internet radio, AirPlay from your Apple gadgets (as well as an iPod-digital compatible USB input).
