Monitor Audio has gone back to the drawing board with their all-new Bronze Series 7G. The R&D team have investigated every previous Bronze Series to understand and extract all the qualities that has made Bronze DNA so special, so strong and what made it a class-leader. With five models, each raising the bar over their predecessors, the series features new acoustic technologies, cabinet designs and stereo and AV options.

The Bronze On-Wall 7G is a new, highly flexible addition to the Bronze Series. Not only does the super-slim profile allow it to be a perfect rear and side channel AV speaker, but it also means that it is perfect for wall-mountable front LCR (left-centre-right) applications – making it an ideal home cinema speaker. Featuring the latest C-CAM 1-inch gold dome tweeter featuring the UD waveguide, and highly dynamic 6.5-inch bass-mid driver; benefiting from the latest C-CAM cone technology and powerful motor system. The Bronze On-Wall 7G is a highly versatile, décor friendly alternative, delivery, detailed high-fidelity surround sound in abundance.

C-CAM - Monitor Audio's Secret Material

At the heart of Bronze Series 7G, delivering the sonic authority expected from a high-fidelity speaker system of this calibre is the C-CAM (Ceramic Coated Aluminium Magnesium) drive unit.
A staple of all Monitor Audio Speakers, this metal cone material is lightweight, more resilient to bending forces and therefore, supremely strong and piston like in its movement. It graces all bass-mid, mid-drivers and high frequency tweeters used within Bronze Series 7G for total performance.

New Bass Drivers

Below the smooth metallic surface of the Bronze Series 7G C-CAM drivers are powerful motor systems. Carefully designed to provide a responsiveness, agility and power to deliver high-fidelity music and movie playback, the last Bronze Series 7G utilise a new progressive spider design to improve excursion linearity. Larger voice coils are also deployed; from 25mm on the Bronze Series 6th Generation to 28.5mm on the 7th generation. This provides far more bass extension and enables greater power handling, for controlled, punchy articulate bass.

New Gold Tweeters

The Gold dome tweeter was first introduced in a Monitor Audio speaker in 1986. Since then, it’s been consistently improved and developed becoming an innovation icon in the world of audio.
The latest incarnation within Bronze Series 7G, not only is thinner, lighter and more rigid than the previous 6th generation, its carefully formed profiled dome, now benefits from the UD (Uniform Dispersion) Waveguide II. This improves time alignment and allows a lower frequency to crossover for wider directivity. Working alongside a new compression ring, the result is less distortion and a more enjoyable listen.
Further, newly optimised venting allows the tweeter to increase its SPL within the 2-3Khz region for more precise playback at higher volumes.

Ultra Pure Crossovers

The crossovers for Bronze Series 7G have been optimised over many hundreds of hours of listening, each component having been carefully selected by the R&D team. Each component has gone through rigorous measurement testing to improve the overall ‘system design’ and with high-quality capacitors and transistors used – at this price point - the Bronze Series 7G provides detailed and precise sound delivery across all audible sound frequencies for an engaging listen.

Who are Monitor Audio?

Started in 1972 by the charismatic Mo Iqbal, Monitor Audio began loudspeaker design and production using tried and tested methods available at that time - plastic cone materials, fabric dome tweeters and reflex loaded braced cabinets. The speakers were welcomed by enthusiasts both in the UK and throughout the World.

Following a management buyout in the 1980s, over the next decade, Monitor Audio expanded its speaker ranges into stereo, surround and in-ceiling/ in-wall plus outdoor speakers to meet the needs of a more diverse, emerging market. At the same time, it embraced their own metal C-CAM driver technology which can respond to audio signals more faithfully than traditional materials, thanks to its inherent strength and rigidity.

The current Monitor Audio range of speakers is a very successful line-up including the entry-level Bronze range, mid-market Silver series, the new Gold range delivering a high-end performance and lastly the Platinum range for those buyers who do not wish to compromise sound quality.
