The 2 Xperience SB takes Project's original 2Xperience model and builds upon that high standard, seeing the implementation of an improved DC motor and power supply to increase efficiency and reduce the level of unwanted resonance/vibration produced by the turntable, resulting in a better sound overall. It also integrates a quality electronic speed control unit for quick and simple changes between 33 and 45rpm records.

The 2Xperience series of turntables was a hit among critical listeners in search of audiophile implementations at a real-world price. 

Three TPE-damped aluminium spike-feet allow for isolation and easy levelling of the entire turntable for excellent tracking and vibration resistance. These custom feet support a high-mass, top-quality MDF plinth that works wonders in terms of absorbing unwanted resonance.

A unique belt-driven platter is precision CNC-machined from MDF, perfectly balanced, then topped with a thick coating of recycled vinyl for optimal record coupling to the platter. To further enhance the coupling effect, a screw-down record clamp is included.

The system’s AC motor is driven by Pro-Ject’s custom “Speed Box“ DC-to-AC converter, which offers simple selection between 33 & 45rpm speeds while internally generating the perfect AC voltage required for speed stability.

Pro-Ject’s innovative 9cc tonearm uses best-in-class ABEC 7 inverted bearings, a low-slung counterweight, and our signature one-piece carbon fibre arm tube for vanishingly low internal resonance.
