The Pro-Ject Debut series began a revolution in analogue audio, making high-quality turntables accessible to music lovers worldwide. Today, the latest Debut turntable continues that tradition, combining decades of expertise with cutting-edge design and craftsmanship.

From the hand-painted chassis to the precision tonearm, every detail is designed to let your music shine. The careful craftsmanship ensures stability, clarity, and effortless performance, allowing you to focus entirely on the joy of listening. Whether it’s your first record or your thousandth, each spin becomes a moment to rediscover your favorite albums and experience music the way it was meant to be heard. This turntable invites you to slow down, and immerse yourself fully in the stories hidden within the grooves.

The aluminium components of the Debut Reference 10 are finished with a precise diamond-cut process, giving them a striking, refined appearance with clean edges and a premium feel.
By using solid aluminium instead of plastic or less durable materials, we ensure long-lasting, sustainable quality. The CNC-milled parts are perfectly matched in both form and finish, contributing to the Debut Reference 10.

The Debut Reference 10 comes equipped with a one-piece carbon-aluminium sandwich tonearm, designed to deliver high-performance playback. The outer layer, made from carbon fiber, provides outstanding rigidity for accurate stylus movement. Inside, an aluminium tube is used to effectively dampen vibrations, ensuring smooth and stable operation. This unique construction combines the strengths of both materials, resulting in a tonearm that is both extremely stiff and exceptionally well-dampened. The result is precise groove tracking, reduced distortion, and a cleaner, more detailed sound reproduction.

The Debut Reference 10 features a tonearm that offers full adjustability for both azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA), allowing for precise alignment and optimal performance. By simply loosening the two grub screws, the tonearm height can be continuously adjusted, providing the flexibility to accommodate variations in cartridge heights or different turntable mats. These advanced adjustment options make it easy to fine-tune your setup.

The Debut Reference 10 features precision electronic speed control, ensuring exceptionally accurate playback at all times. Switching between speeds is quick and effortless thanks to the toggle switch. To maintain the highest sound quality, the turntable is equipped with a newly developed motor suspension system that effectively isolates and decouples the motor from
the chassis. This advanced design prevents unwanted vibrations from reaching the cartridge, ensuring clean
and uninterrupted audio performance.

The diamond cut aluminium sub-platter can be machined to much higher tolerances and is a substantial upgrade to regular plastic sub-platters. It adds more mass to the entire platter and drive system, resulting in additional damping of noise and unwanted resonances. The improved tolerances during production will increase overall speed accuracy. The additional mass improves short term speed stability, or also called Wow & Flutter.

The main platter of the Debut Reference 10 is crafted from high-quality acrylic with a satinised surface, designed not only for visual elegance but also for exceptional acoustic performance. Acrylic shares a similar impedance to vinyl records, which helps create a more natural, liquid sound signature while eliminating the need for additional damping materials. Unlike metal platters, where you will need to place a felt met between record and platter to damp metal resonance, you can put your record directly on the acrylic surface, with nothing in between.
