Project Speed Box S
Project's Speed Box S is an extremely useful accessory for many Project turntables that don't offer an integrated electronic speed alteration switch. The Speed Box S performs speed adjustments by the simple push of a button, enabling you to switch the rotations per minute from 33 to 45 and back depending on which speed you require.
The quartz regulation and filter circuit offer a more stable speed to allow the motor of the turntable to operate smoothly and undisturbed. This unit is compatible with the following ProJect turntables;
The Speed Box S will only work with certain Pro-Ject turntable models that have a detachable mains socket and a 16V AC power supply. It will not work with items that have a captive mains lead, or a DC power supply. To make your compliant turntable turn at 78RPM, you will need to purchase the additional 78RPM Pulley and a 78RPM stylus (More Info Here). Below is a list of compliant turntables...

Who is Project?
Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
