Voted "Best Turntable Under £500" - What HiFi 2016 / 2017 / 2018 / 2019 / 2020

Please note, turntables such as the Rega Planar 1 require a phono stage to work and will produce no sound without one.
Many amplifiers have built-in phono stages, such as the Rega io or Brio.
They can often be identified by the RCA input marked 'phono' on the rear of the amplifier.
If being used with active (powered) speakers or with an amplifier without an integrated phono stage, a separate phono stage such as the Rega Fono A2D or Fono MM will be required.

The state-of-the-art Planar 1 from Rega is the company's most user-friendly deck so far, with a preset bias force on the newly developed RB110 tonearm - the Planar 1 is essentially ready from the box. All that's required is for the balance weight to be slipped onto the back of the tonearm as far as it will go, remove the stylus guard, and then hear your music as it as intended to be heard.

Every element of the Planar 1 has been carefully and vigorously improved upon earlier designs. The Planar 1 now runs a 24v, low-noise, synchronous motor. This drastically reduces any potential vibration that may otherwise negatively affect the sound of your record. The turntable comes supplied with the RB110 tonearm as standard. This arm uses Rega's exclusive zero-bearings design Including an automatic bias adjustment negating the need for the user to set bias, making this the most ‘Plug & Play’ turntable that Rega have ever manufactured. New ergonomically, re-designed and stiffer headshell for improved usability and appearance

This is the perfect jumping-on point for anyone who is looking to get into Vinyl playback for the first time.

Comes supplied with a lid as standard

Rega has set out to disrupt the sub £500 integrated amplifier market with their new IO integrated amplifier. This all-new amplifier is based on one of our favourites, the award-winning Brio. The pre-amplifier features a motorised, high-quality ALPS Blue stereo volume potentiometer, under control via both IR remote(included) or chunky front panel knob. The new IO features a high-quality Moving Magnet phono input stage, for simple connection to a turntable (We recommend the Rega Planar 1 or Planar 2), along with two additional line-level inputs for connection to a CD Player or Network Streamer. The IO also features a high-quality headphone output and a hefty 30 Watts per channel capable of driving any bookshelf speaker and even some floor standing speakers, thanks to it's generously rated toroidal mains power transformer, high current bridge rectifier and high quality, long life smoothing capacitors. The new iO amplifier pairs perfectly with Rega's new Kyte loudspeakers but would also work well with most high-quality loudspeakers on the market.
