In order for us to consider matching a price, the product must be ‘like-for-like’ in every aspect, this means the product must be identical, boxed/unused, including delivery charges and be sold from a retailer authorised by the manufacturer of the product. The product must also be in-stock and available for immediate delivery and we must be able to verify the offer. We have no legal obligation to price match and offer this service out of courtesy and in the interest of ensuring our customers receive the best deal. Hifi Gear reserves the right to decline to match a price that is either not ‘like-for-like’ or for any other reason at our own discretion.
Discount Codes & Gift Vouchers
Discount codes are to be entered at the checkout process. Discount codes exclude certain brands, including Sonos and Loewe, as well as all products with already existing discounts. Discount codes (unless specified otherwise) are valid once per customer and cannot be used in conjunction with other discount codes or gift vouchers in the same purchase. If you are ordering more than one product, any products that are exempt from discount codes will continue to be exempt but the code will still deduct the discount amount from the products that are valid. Discount codes remain the property of Hifi Gear and we reserve the right to deny the discount at our discretion.
Returns must include original, undamaged packaging with all original and undamaged accessories, manuals, or other contents. Returns must be made to us via an insured method as any damage or loss in transit is the responsibility of the customer. Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you are able to return an item to us within 14 days of receiving it when notifying us in writing of your wish to return the item. In this instance, we will refund the price of the item, minus supplementary costs incurred when sending the product to you initially. All returns must be ‘as new’ in ‘as new’ packaging, with any free gifts or services returned or reimbursed. Should the free gift not be returned, the retail price of the gift in question will be deducted from the refund. If the product is not returned in a fully resalable condition, or the packaging is damaged or soiled, then we reserve the right to either refuse to refund the item or deduct 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights. Refunds to a card other than the original can only be made under the following circumstances:
- The original account no longer exists
- The original account details have expired
- The recipient requires a credit.
Before a product is refunded, the unit will undergo an assessment to either ensure the product is in working order or to confirm a fault. This assessment process and a subsequent refund is usually completed within 24 hours. This does not include your bank’s process time.
We are unable to exchange or refund any headphones that have been opened and used, unless they are proven faulty, in the interest of hygiene. We are also unable to exchange or refund any item that has been custom built or personalised (eg custom length or terminated cables, special order furniture). As vinyl cartridges/styli experience physical wear upon use, we are unfortunately unable to refund any used or opened cartridges/styli. All cartridges/styli returned reported as faulty are assessed at length before any refund is considered. All cartridge/stylus serial numbers are noted and retained before dispatch.
If a product purchased is determined or suspected of being faulty, then you have up to 30 days to return the item for a full refund (providing the fault can be confirmed). Alternative solutions will also be offered to you and may include a straight-swap replacement.
If your product develops a fault during the manufacturer warranty period but outside of the initial 30 days from delivery, please first consult the troubleshooting guide found within the product's user manual. If this does not resolve the issue then please contact us via email with the details of your initial order number/invoice number, your name and contact telephone number and also a description of the fault you are experiencing. We will do our best to troubleshoot the issue with you via email. If the issue can not be resolved in this way then the product should be returned to us for further assessment, at which point we will liaise with the manufacturer to have the item repaired under warranty, or replaced when a repair is not possible. Guarantee/warranty terms and durations vary between manufacturer and product type, please contact us if you would like to know the warranty information of a specific product before purchase. Returning the item for a warranty assessment is the responsibility of the customer, we recommend using an insured courier method to avoid loss or further damage in transit. Any items returned should be done so in the original packaging where possible. If you do not have the original packaging please make sure suitable packaging materials are used as we can not be held resonsible for any damage in transit. Please note additional charges may apply if replacement packaging is required from the manufacturer.
International customers as a condition of ordering are responsible for courier charges (both ways) for any returns for repairs under warranty, please do not order from us if you do not agree with this term.
