The ELYSIAN 3R is the compact floorstanding loudspeaker in the ELYSIAN R Series, designed to deliver the authority, openness and dynamic expression of a high-end three-way system in a more elegant, room-friendly form.
Its slim cabinet houses dual 7” coated glass fibre matrix bass drivers, a dedicated 6” coated glass fibre matrix midrange driver and the further-developed 27 x 90mm ELYSIAN R AMT treble unit. The result is a loudspeaker that combines controlled bass, natural vocal presence and expansive high-frequency detail with the understated luxury of the updated ELYSIAN R design language.
The story
ELYSIAN 3R is engineered for listeners who want the immersive scale of a floorstanding loudspeaker without the footprint of the flagship model. It uses a true three-way driver array, allowing the bass, midrange and treble sections to operate with clarity and control.
As part of the ELYSIAN R evolution, the 3R benefits from refined crossover modelling, improved driver consistency and further optimised cabinet behaviour. Its dual bass drivers provide low-frequency weight and dynamic ability, while the dedicated midrange driver preserves the natural expression of voices and instruments. The AMT treble unit gives the speaker its open, fast and effortlessly detailed character.
The 3R is compact by ELYSIAN standards, but unmistakably high-end in performance, finish and presence.

Dual 7” bass drivers
Two coated glass fibre matrix bass drivers provide dynamic low-frequency performance with speed, control and articulation.
Dedicated midrange clarity
The 6” coated glass fibre matrix midrange driver gives vocals and instruments natural body, texture and focus.
The bass and midrange drivers feature coated glass fibre matrix cones chosen for their durability, lightweight nature, and ability to dampen vibrations effectively. This ensures crisp bass, a natural midrange tone, and minimal colour distortion.
Refined high-frequency performance
The 27 x 90mm AMT delivers open, extended treble with speed, detail and low distortion.
The ELYSIAN R AMT is engineered for speed, openness and precision. Its pleated diaphragm moves air with exceptional efficiency, giving the loudspeaker a sense of effortless detail and natural high-frequency extension.
Generation R crossover refinement
The ELYSIAN R crossover features premium components such as high-silicon-iron-cored coils for deep bass, air-core coils for midrange and treble, Super Audiophile polypropylene capacitors, and low-inductance resistors. Its innovative direct-path PCBs are engineered to maintain signal clarity.
Engineered for premium systems
With 89dB sensitivity and recommended amplifier power of 30–200W, ELYSIAN 3R is designed for serious two-channel systems where space, precision and musical authority all matter.
SLPP bass management
Wharfedale’s Slot-Loaded Profiled Port system enhances bass extension and control, minimises turbulence, and decreases placement sensitivity. This leads to bass that is strong, quick, and reliable during typical listening conditions.
