Thanks to Yamaha's AirWired technology, an iPod may be used with the YSP-5100 / 4100 without the need for cables. The AirWired link transmits uncompressed data thus ensuring maximum sound quality. The ipod dock allows wireless connection capability to an iPod. The iPod may be used as a remote control whilst listening to music, and provides synchronized power on/off. In addition, it also charges the ipod.
