Naim Audio has a special place in British audio, thanks to it's founder and inspirational leader Julian Vereker, a hugely talented mechanical and electronic engineer with a passion for, amongst many things, music. Founded in 1973, Naim has always had a firm philosophy of music first, measurements second - each Naim product is extensively auditioned as part of the product development process to make sure that it delivers clear, emotional music making ability. Naim products are designed to bring the closest facsimile of a live music event into your home listening environment, to give you maximum pleasure from your music collection.
Many of the Naim products are evolutions of previous designs, incorporating sometimes quite small changes to the mechanical or electronic design - however, these incremental changes make a large overall improvement in the music performance of each product.
Unlike other audio brands, built-in obsolescence is not part of the plan - Naim products can often be upgraded in performance by the addition of several different levels of external power supply. In this way the owner of a Naim component can upgrade his system without having to continually sell existing equipment.
Unusually, Naim recommends the use of DIN compatible interconnecting cables, as the earthing integrity is superior to the industry standard phono connector. Having said that, Naim products often come equipped with both types of connector, to allow easy mixing and matching to third party equipment.

Brilliant Sound Quality
Having loved my Sonos system I was naturally a bit dubious as to whether the Mu-so would be worth the extra expense - I needn't have worried, from the first track it blew my Sonos Playbar away! Still like the Sonos but this is very close to hi-fi quality. Looks the part too, with a beautiful curved grille and aluminium casework which shouts quality.
What An Upgrade!
Was using my CD5 XS with the built in dac and loved it, but having added the Naim DAC, there is simply no way back.
Pricey, But Worth It
Bit the bullet and replaced my Western Digital NAS with the UnitiServe - really superb user interface, very simple for the whole family to use, and I can honestly say our music never sounded so good.
The Best Phonostage!
Costly yes, but to do justice to the finest MC cartridges like my Dynavector 17D3, the Stageline is the way to go.
Upgraded to the ND5XS from a Sonos Connect - similar functionality but leagues ahead in sound quality!
