Ortofon ST-70 MC Transformer

The Ortofon ST-70 MC (Moving Coil) step-Up transformer is designed to boost the output of your premium moving coil cartridge, to take the pressure off your phono stage. Designed for audiophiles and music lovers, the ST-70 is designed to work perfectly with Ortofon's Cadenza cartridges, however, it will work just as well with any other high-end moving coil cartridges, thanks to its two gain/impedance options.

The ST-70 uses high-quality Lundahl™ transformers, surrounded by a specialized mu-metal shielding, designed to completely remove any kind of interference. Along with the dual mono design, used to isolate the two channels, further reducing unwanted noise or crosstalk. Using the ST-70 will result in an audibly cleaner, clearer playback, with an increase in stereo imaging and no added colouration.

To further minimize signal degradation and maximize signal flow, the ST-70 has been engineered using a high-quality, industrial-grade PCB. Additionally, gold-plated RCA jacks with Teflon insulation provide optimal conductivity for use with high-quality interconnects.
