The PMC Twenty5 22i - The larger yet substantial upgrade from the younger brother the 21i. This speaker is designed to be fitted in much larger spaces around your living environment. As before, it comes with its very own dedicated stands, console furniture or any other flat services. The still-trim dimensions belie the lengthy ATL concealed inside the speaker which is then coupled with a powerful 6.5-inch g-weave bass driver and Laminiair vent, which then allows the 22i to deliver such a clean, uncluttered and powerful low-end, paired with detailed highs from the very cleverly designed soft-dome treble unit. Although there is an increase in the size of the speaker, its performance is agile and full of wonderful dynamism.

We touched upon PMC's ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) technology, to get some context on what this is, it's a technology that uses sophisticated cabinet construction, proprietary drive units, and patented absorption materials and techniques. The benefits you get from this is rather substantial compared to the relatively simple sealed and ported designs currently available elsewhere.

Who is PMC?

Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch. The combination of knowledge and a life-long passion for music led to the production of PMC’s first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor. This design was snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remains the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and for renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.
