The latest 2017 Brio from Rega is a long-established quality integrated amplifier, taking half the space of a traditional hifi separates amp and incorporating true audiophile technology to result in a deserving sound. Rega has revisited the Brio-R to develop and launch its 2017 equivalent, featuring a range of upgrades to build upon the R model's prestigious and well-earned reputation.

A new housing construction improves upon the Brio's circuitry and internal components. Its internals now sits within a two-part case, built from an entire aluminium design, upgrading the heat-sink capabilities of the machine as well as improving the already robust build quality and stellar reliability. The Brio sees the addition of an intelligently placed headphone socket, built to reduce the level of potential interference between this headphone stage and the main audio circuit with a superlative Moving Magnet phonostage built-in to the unit in a similar fashion. The Brio certainly delivers a high current feed to your loudspeakers, making it seem much more powerful than the 50W specification would suggest. A very high-quality moving magnet phono stage makes the Brio an obvious choice to partner with the Planar 3 turntable and Elys/ Exact cartridge.
