The newest Mk2 variation of the Neo PSU has had an aesthetic 'face-lift' over the now discontinued Mk1 Neo. These changes are purely cosmetic, with the Neo Mk2 offering the same high performance as the Mk1 before it.
Rega offers a wide range of accessories and upgrades to accompany their extensive catalogue of turntables and hifi separates. The newly updated Neo is a quality external power supply, designed to improve the quality of a number of the company's turntable decks, the Neo is comprised of a newly developed anti-vibration circuit along with an output circuit protection and improved power supply regulation. This intricate circuitry is housed within a newly designed casing to match the new series of electronics and the overall result is reduced motor noise and increased stability, along with electronic speed change functionality.
The Neo MK2 PSU is compatible with the following Rega turntable models
P3-24 / RP3 / Planar 3 2016-current / RP6 / P5 / P7 / RP40 special edition / RP8 Or any older Rega turntable fitted with our aftermarket 24v upgrade kit.
Using the same DSP (digital signal processing) generator found in the Planar 10 power supply the Neo MK2 is built upon a high stability crystal.
The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed whilst producing a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the 24v motor. Fine speed adjustment is made via the rear panel using the supplied custom Neo trim tool (supplied).
