Rega Extra Heavy Tungsten Counterweight

Rega's extra heavy 120g tungsten counterweight is designed as an upgrade for their turntables. The smaller, heavier counterweight has the ability to be placed much closer to the pivot point of the tonearm than the standard Rega counterweight, reducing the inertia of the tonearm and allowing it to track better, with a faster and more dynamic sound. 

The Rega Tungsten counterweight has the same mass as the standard counterweights. It will actually yield improved sound performance due to the higher density of the tungsten.  The higher density makes for a smaller diameter weight, that places the mass closer to the centerline of the arm tube improving tracking and balance.
