    We couldn't resist opening up the new Musical Fidelity M1 Clic music streamer to show you the electronics and build quality of the device inside the stylish case work.

    First and foremost, the M1 Click has sturdy powder coasted steel chassis construction with a simple but adequate steel lid with flanges that accept self-tapping screws to mate the tray and lid together. The knuckle test applied to the case reveals little mechanical resonance to interfere with the delicate DAC and amplifier circuitry within.

    There are four double sided, plated through hole, glass fibre printed circuit boards inside - two of them are of Musical Fidelity design, the other two for streaming and LCD display, are 3rd party designs. The largest pcb sits in the base of the chassis and comprises the switched mode power supply, digital-to-analogue convertor, microprocessor/ firmware and audio output pre-amplifier.
